John Hayes and Alex Darden join Broe Group board

The Broe Group announced the appointment of John Hayes and Alex Darden to its family board, which oversees strategy for the Denver-based investment company's business units.
Hayes served as chairman, president and CEO of Ball Corporation (NYSE: BLL), a packaging company with 16,000 employees globally. During his tenure, Ball's market capitalization grew from $5 billion to $30 billion, according to the company statement. Hayes retired from Ball Corporation and became a Clayton Dubilier & Rice Operating Advisor in 2023.
Darden serves as president of EQT Partners Inc. (NASDAQ Stockholm: EQT) and heads the firm's Infrastructure Advisory Team Americas. EQT Partners manages over $300 billion in assets under management. Darden has overseen EQT's North America investments totaling $50 billion and led infrastructure transactions exceeding $20 billion during his two-decade tenure with the firm.
Prior to EQT, Darden worked at GE Energy Financial Services, focusing on debt and equity investments in energy companies. He has served on boards of multiple companies including Kodiak Gas Services, Cypress Creek Renewables and Fenix Marine Services.
The Broe Family Board provides oversight for The Broe Group's core units, including Broe Real Estate Group, OmniTRAX and Broe Family Office. Founded in 1972 by Pat Broe, The Broe Group operates across real estate, rail, infrastructure, energy and other sectors in 37 North American states and provinces.
