JBS N.V. announced that Wesley Batista Filho will become Global CEO of the company, effective January 2027, replacing Gilberto Tomazoni, who will transition to Vice Chairman of the Board and Senior Advisor.
Batista Filho, who currently serves as CEO of JBS USA, joined JBS in 2011 as a trainee at the company's Greeley, Colo., beef facility. He has since held leadership roles including CEO of JBS Brazil, CEO of Seara, and Global President of Operations before taking the JBS USA role in 2023.
Tomazoni, who has served as Global CEO since December 2018, will oversee the leadership transition over the next five months. He will also retain his position as Chairman of the Board of Pilgrim's Pride Corporation (NYSE: PPC) and will become Chairman of the J&F Institute.
During Tomazoni's eight years as Global CEO, JBS reported revenue growth of 73%, rising from $49.7 billion to $86.2 billion. The company also completed a listing on the New York Stock Exchange during his tenure.
"I'm honored to take on this responsibility and build on the extraordinary work accomplished by Tomazoni during his tenure as CEO," Batista Filho said in a statement.
Tomazoni said Batista Filho "has a track record of success at JBS and knows our business deeply," adding that he is "confident he is the right leader to guide JBS through its next chapter."
