Inspire Medical Systems adds AtriCure CEO Michael Carrel to board

Inspire Medical Systems, Inc. (NYSE: INSP) appointed Michael H. Carrel to its Board of Directors, effective July 20, according to a company statement.
Carrel has served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and a director of AtriCure, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATRC) since November 2012. During his tenure at AtriCure, the company's revenue grew from $82 million in 2013 to $535 million in 2025. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Axonics, Inc. from 2019 through 2024, until its acquisition by Boston Scientific Corporation.
Carrel holds a B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
