Inseego Corp. (NASDAQ: INSG) announced that AT&T Business has selected its Wavemaker FX4200 5G fixed wireless access device for its business portfolio. The device became available to AT&T Business customers on January 20.
The FX4200 is designed for enterprise wireless networks and targets businesses without on-site IT support, including retail locations, restaurants, branch offices, schools, and government facilities. The device combines 5G connectivity with router capabilities and remote management features.
"Our customers are eager for more advanced 5G FWA devices, including business-grade functionality and security," said Nazanin Hoglund, assistant vice president of mobility devices and converged products at AT&T Business.
The device includes Wi-Fi 7 capability supporting up to 256 connections, 5G connectivity with LTE backward compatibility, and an integrated 8-hour battery backup. It features enterprise-grade hardware security with FIPS 140-3 compliance, VPN support, and zero-touch setup capabilities.
The FX4200 includes integrated antennas for deployment and optional external antenna ports. It operates through Inseego's Connect management platform and works with AT&T Internet Air for Business service, which is sold separately.
"The FX4200 is designed to take the complexity out of enterprise wireless, enabling businesses to use 5G in a way that feels familiar, reliable, and easy to deploy," said Juho Sarvikas, CEO of Inseego.
The announcement represents AT&T's expansion of its 5G-capable fixed wireless access device portfolio. Information in this report is based on a company press release.
