Humanoid Global closes investment in Agility Robotics
Humanoid Global Holdings Corp. (CSE: ROBO, FWB: 0XM1, OTCQB: RBOHF) announced it closed an indirect strategic investment in Agility Robotics Inc. through a single-asset special purpose vehicle.
The Vancouver-based investment company said the transaction provides exposure to Agility Robotics, which focuses on humanoid robotics commercialization in logistics applications. Humanoid Global positions itself as an investment issuer building a portfolio of companies in the humanoid robotics and artificial intelligence sector.
Agility Robotics announced on September 10 that NVIDIA participated in its Series C funding round through NVentures, NVIDIA's venture capital division. The announcement noted that NVIDIA's simulation and AI technologies, including Isaac Lab, support the development of Agility's Digit robot for industrial and commercial deployment.
"Agility Robotics is a pioneer in the humanoid robotics industry, being among the first companies to deploy a commercial fleet," said Shahab Samimi, CEO of Humanoid Global. "The participation of NVentures in its Series C round further reinforces confidence in Agility's ability to capture meaningful market share while addressing global labour shortages."
Humanoid Global describes itself as a publicly traded investment platform that provides capital and strategic consultation to companies in the robotics sector. The company focuses on advanced software, hardware, and enabling technologies within the humanoid robotics ecosystem.
The press release did not disclose the financial terms of the investment or the size of Agility Robotics' Series C round.
