Hudson Global changes name to Star Equity Holdings

Hudson Global, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSON; HSONP) will change its corporate name to Star Equity Holdings, Inc., effective September 5, 2025 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time. The company's ticker symbols will simultaneously change to STRR and STRRP for its common stock and preferred stock, respectively.
The name change follows the August 22, 2025 merger with Star Operating Companies, Inc., which became a wholly owned subsidiary. Shareholders are not required to take any action regarding the name and ticker symbol changes.
Jeff Eberwein will serve as Chief Executive Officer and Rick Coleman as Chief Operating Officer. The management team also includes Matt Diamond as Chief Accounting Officer, Hannah Bible as Chief Legal Officer, and Shawn Miles as Executive Vice President of Finance.
The company operates through four divisions: Building Solutions, Business Services, Energy Services, and Investments. Building Solutions encompasses modular building manufacturing, structural wall panel and wood foundation manufacturing with building supply distribution, and glue-laminated timber manufacturing. Business Services provides recruitment solutions globally. Energy Services handles rental, sale, and repair of downhole tools for oil and gas, geothermal, mining, and water-well industries. The Investments division manages real estate assets and investment positions in private and public companies.
According to the press release, Eberwein stated the transition marks a milestone in the company's evolution and reflects its vision to build a diversified platform of businesses.
