Helport AI expands into consumer hardware customer service ops
Helport AI Limited (NASDAQ: HPAI) announced the commercial deployment of its AI Labor model in after-sales customer operations for consumer hardware brands across North America and Europe, according to a company statement.
The deployments handle customer interactions through chat, email, and voice channels. The company's AI Labor system manages first contact and routine workflows, while human specialists handle escalations and cases requiring judgment.
Helport AI entered the consumer hardware segment through direct enterprise engagements and an April 2026 partnership with QuickCEP. One named client is Dreame Technology Co., Ltd., a robot vacuum brand, under a commercial agreement that began generating revenue in May 2026. The company also supports Birdfy, a smart bird feeder camera brand. Two additional clients — a robotic pool cleaner brand and an at-home beauty device brand — were not named due to confidentiality obligations.
The company describes consumer hardware as its second commercially validated AI Labor vertical, following consumer finance, where it previously reported deployment across customer acquisition and post-loan collections workflows.
Helport AI's operating model, which it calls AI+BPO, combines three layers: a Unified Communication Platform connecting chat, email, and voice; an AI Labor System that processes and resolves eligible customer interactions; and human specialists who handle exceptions and escalations.
The company measures AI penetration as the share of customer interactions resolved without human intervention. Chat and email currently carry the highest AI handling share, while voice remains lower but is described as increasing.
"A global brand should not have to rebuild its service organization every time it enters another country or another communication channel," said Guanghai Li, chief executive officer of Helport AI. "Our AI Labor platform is designed to help address this problem."
Helport AI is headquartered in San Diego and Singapore. The company's stock trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker HPAI.
