Happy Belly's Heal Wellness signs first New Brunswick franchise deal

Happy Belly Food Group Inc. (CSE: HBFG) (OTCQB: HBFGF) announced that its Heal Wellness brand has signed a franchise agreement for a location in Moncton, New Brunswick, marking the brand's first franchise agreement in the province, according to a company press release.

The franchisee is described as an experienced multi-unit quick-service restaurant operator. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Heal Wellness offers smoothie bowls, açaí bowls, and smoothies. The Moncton location will be situated in southeastern New Brunswick.

"Signing Heal Wellness's first franchise agreement in New Brunswick with an experienced multi-unit QSR operator marks an important milestone in the brand's expansion," said Sean Black, Chief Executive Officer of Happy Belly. "Our franchisee's experience managing multiple restaurants provides a strong operational foundation as we enter the province."

Happy Belly stated that Heal Wellness is continuing to expand across Canada and into the United States as part of its portfolio of restaurant brands.
