Happy Belly's Ghost Taco signs 25-unit deal for Atlantic Canada

Happy Belly Food Group Inc. (CSE: HBFG) (OTCQB: HBFGF) has signed a 25-unit area development agreement for its Ghost Taco brand covering Atlantic Canada, according to a company press release. The agreement spans New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

The deal brings the total number of Ghost Taco units under area development agreements to 120 across seven Canadian provinces. Previous area development agreements were signed for Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.

David Wilson, who previously led development of Happy Belly's Heal Wellness and Rosie's Burgers brands in Atlantic Canada, will oversee the Ghost Taco expansion in the region.

"Atlantic Canada represents an exciting next step in Ghost Taco's national expansion," said Sean Black, Chief Executive Officer of Happy Belly.

Ghost Taco is an Ontario-based fast-casual restaurant brand serving Mexican-inspired tacos, bowls, sides, and desserts. The brand was founded by Samantha Buckley, Grant Buckley, and Steve Tallas and currently operates locations in Newmarket, Kingston, Whitby, Peterborough, and Barrie, Ontario.

Happy Belly's portfolio also includes Heal Wellness, Rosie's Burgers, Yolks Breakfast, Via Cibo Italian Street Food, and iQ Food Co.
