HEI prices $500 million Hawaiian Electric senior notes at 6.000%

Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. (NYSE: HEI) announced the pricing of $500 million in senior notes issued by its subsidiary Hawaiian Electric Company Inc. The 6.000% Senior Notes are scheduled to mature in 2033.



Hawaiian Electric plans to use the net proceeds to finance capital expenditures and repay long-term debt or short-term debt, including its revolving credit facility and term loan. The funds will be used to finance or refinance capital expenditures or reimburse previously used funds for capital expenditures.



The offering is expected to close on or about September 18, 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.



The notes have not been registered under the Securities Act and are being sold only to qualified institutional buyers under Rule 144A and to non-U.S. persons outside the United States under Regulation S.



Hawaiian Electric Industries is the parent company of Hawaiian Electric Company Inc.
