Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOGL) released Gemini 3, the latest version of its artificial intelligence model, with immediate integration into Google's search engine and other revenue-generating products.
The new AI model arrives 11 months after Gemini's second generation. CEO Sundar Pichai called it "our most intelligent model" in a company blog post following the Tuesday launch.
Google executives said Gemini 3 leads several industry leaderboards that measure AI model performance. The company emphasized that unlike previous releases, Gemini 3 was integrated into consumer and enterprise products at launch rather than weeks or months later.
"We think Gemini has set quite a new pace in terms of both releasing the models, but also getting it to people faster than ever before," said Koray Kavukcuoglu, Google's chief AI architect, during a press briefing.
Pichai noted this marks the first time Google incorporated a new model into its search engine from day one of release. Users with Google's premium AI subscription plan can access Gemini 3 through AI Mode, a search feature that provides computer-generated answers for complex queries instead of traditional web results.
The model will be available in several of Google's profit-generating products immediately upon launch, according to company executives.
