Fusemachines unveils AI Twin technology for workplace use

Fusemachines Inc. (NASDAQ: FUSE) announced the unveiling of its AI Twin technology on Sept. 17, 2026, demonstrating a concept in which AI systems represent individual employees in workplace settings, including meetings, communications and task execution.

The company released a demonstration titled "The Future Monday Morning Meeting," showing human employees and an AI Twin of a colleague participating in the same workplace meeting, providing updates, answering questions and coordinating work.

According to the company, an AI Twin differs from a standard AI agent in that it is designed to represent a specific individual, incorporating that person's knowledge, responsibilities, preferences, priorities and organizational context. With appropriate permissions and governance controls, the system could learn from an employee's documents, meetings, projects, communications and historical decisions.

The technology draws on multiple areas Fusemachines has been developing, including voice AI, agentic AI, memory, knowledge retrieval and real-time human-AI interaction.

"We are getting increasingly close to our vision of truly fusing machines with humans and enabling them to work together," said Sameer Maskey, Founder and CEO of Fusemachines. "AI agents have already begun changing how people accomplish work. AI Twins could take that idea much further by meaningfully expanding what an individual is capable of accomplishing."

Anish Joshi, Head of Technology at Fusemachines, noted the breadth of systems involved: "We have been innovating across voice, conversational intelligence, enterprise context, memory, knowledge retrieval, security, governance, agent orchestration and real-time interaction."

Fusemachines said it plans to apply components of the AI Twin technology to its existing products while continuing to develop its longer-term vision. The New York-based company was founded in 2013 and operates offices in North America, Asia and Latin America.
