Fujitsu Limited (TSE: 6702), its subsidiary 1Finity Inc., and Arrcus Inc. have signed a strategic partnership agreement to develop network solutions for AI infrastructure, the companies announced.

The partnership aims to address growing network infrastructure demands as AI-related data traffic increases. Arrcus develops routing and switching platforms based on Ethernet networking technology and provides networking software for network operators and enterprise customers.

Under the agreement, 1Finity will offer Arrcus solutions and jointly develop go-to-market plans with a focus on Japan, targeting network operators, enterprise customers and data center operators. The collaboration will extend to business partners globally beyond the Fujitsu Group.

Arrcus' Network Operating System software can operate across data center clusters from edge to multi-cloud environments, enabling centralized management and faster deployment. The software runs on generic components rather than requiring dedicated hardware. According to the press release, customers implementing this software have achieved over 40% reduction in total cost of ownership across multiple use cases.

"Flexible networks that combine innovation in software, silicon, and optics are of critical importance for AI data centers and 5G/6G connected inference edges," said Shekar Ayyar, Chairman and CEO of Arrcus Inc.

Fujitsu plans to leverage its global customer base to provide solutions that adapt to changing market needs, combining Arrcus' business model with Fujitsu's AI services and computing technologies.

Fujitsu reported consolidated revenues of 3.6 trillion yen ($23 billion) for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025. The company employs 113,000 people globally and focuses on AI, Computing, Networks, Data & Security, and Converging Technologies.
