EnWave signs R&D deal with University of Limerick, sells REV machine
EnWave Corporation (TSX-V: ENW | FSE: E4U) has signed a Research and Development License Agreement with the University of Limerick in Ireland and sold the university a small-scale Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV™) machine, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based company.
Under the agreement, the University of Limerick will establish REV™ capabilities to give researchers and industry participants access to EnWave's vacuum-microwave dehydration technology for product development, process optimization, and applied research.
The arrangement adds Ireland to EnWave's existing network of REV™ research and development hubs, which are also operational in Denmark, Spain, Germany, the United States, Australia, and Canada.
EnWave stated that these hubs are intended to offer prospective commercial partners a pathway to evaluate REV™ technology and validate processing parameters before committing to larger-scale commercial deployment.
The company also noted that independent academic research conducted at such institutions can generate peer-reviewed studies providing third-party assessments of product quality, processing efficiency, and nutrient retention relative to conventional drying technologies.
EnWave's stated strategy centers on expanding its global installed base of REV™ machinery, growing recurring royalty revenue, and building a pipeline of commercial opportunities through broader industry engagement with its technology.
