Defence Therapeutics Inc. (CSE: DTC) (OTCQB: DTCFF) CEO Dr. Amie Phinney has published a letter to shareholders outlining the biotechnology company's strategic direction, according to a press release dated September 8, 2026.

Phinney, who recently assumed the role of president and CEO, identified three core development areas: Accum®-enhanced antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), Accum®-enabled radiotherapeutics, and determining the path forward for the company's clinical-stage AccuTOX® program.

On the ADC front, the company stated it does not intend to compete with ADC developers but rather to partner with them. The commercial objective is to generate revenue through partnerships and licensing agreements, with proceeds intended to fund further research into next-generation payload delivery, including RNA and oligonucleotides.

The company recently appointed Dr. Ryan Simms as chief operating officer and head of radiotherapeutics. Simms brings more than 20 years of radiopharmaceutical development experience to the role.

Regarding AccuTOX®, clinical development was paused last year following a reassessment of capital allocation. The company said it is now reviewing the program with a focus on its potential in melanoma. Options under consideration include out-licensing, co-development, or reactivating it as an internal clinical program.

Phinney noted that Defence completed a capital raise earlier in 2026, which the company said has supported leadership team expansion, board additions, scientific hiring, and investment in laboratory capabilities.

Founding CEO Sébastien Plouffe has transitioned to the role of executive chairman.

Defence Therapeutics is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, and is focused on oncology drug delivery using its proprietary Accum® platform technology.
