DIRTT appoints Adrian Zarate to board of directors
DIRTT Environmental Solutions Ltd. (TSX: DRT) (OTCQX: DRTTF) announced Adrian Zarate has been appointed to its board of directors effective July 30, 2025. Zarate will serve as the nominee director for 22NW Fund, LP, DIRTT's largest shareholder, according to a company statement.
The appointment follows a support and standstill agreement between DIRTT, 22NW and WWT Opportunity #1 LLC dated August 2, 2024. Zarate replaces Aron English, founder of 22NW, who has served on the board since 2022 when 22NW led a proxy contest that replaced DIRTT's entire board.
Zarate works as a capital structure analyst at 22NW, LP, focusing on investments across multiple industry sectors. His previous experience includes investment banking at Greenhill & Co., LLC and credit investing at Nuveen (TIAA-CREF). He holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School.
"I have been a member of the Board since 2022 when 22NW led a successful proxy contest to replace DIRTT's entire board," English said in the statement. "My colleague Adrian Zarate will continue this work as he joins the Board and 22NW looks forward to supporting DIRTT through its promising future."
Scott Robinson, chair of the board, said the company thanked English for his leadership in DIRTT's turnaround and welcomed Zarate as the company focuses on capturing market share and growth.
DIRTT operates in industrialized construction, providing interior construction solutions for workplace, healthcare, education, and public sector markets. The Calgary-based company trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange and OTCQX markets.
