DIAGNOS appoints Philippe Couillard as board chairman

DIAGNOS Inc. (TSX Venture: ADK, OTCQB: DGNOF, FWB: 4D4A) announced the appointment of Dr. Philippe Couillard as chairman of the board of directors, according to a company statement.



Dr. Couillard, a neurosurgeon and business advisor, previously served as Quebec's Minister of Health and Social Services from 2003 to 2008 and as Premier of Quebec from 2014 to 2018. He joined DIAGNOS' board on April 1, 2024.



The appointment comes as DIAGNOS pursues regulatory approvals for its AI-enabled software product CARA (Computer Assisted Retinal Analysis) in Canada through Health Canada, in the United States through the FDA, and in Saudi Arabia through the Saudi FDA.



"The appointment of Philippe as Chairman of the Board comes at a very exciting time for DIAGNOS," said André Larente, President of DIAGNOS. "I'm convinced that Philippe's impressive and unique work experience combined with his training as medical doctor will continue to be instrumental in the growth and governance of DIAGNOS."



Dr. Couillard stated he looks forward to continuing to contribute to the company's expansion efforts in the three markets.



DIAGNOS is a Canadian corporation that develops AI technology for early detection of eye-related health problems. The company aims to provide diagnostic tools to healthcare clinicians to improve accuracy and patient outcomes.
