Cheche Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CCG) announced an expanded partnership with NIO Inc. (NYSE: NIO) to provide insurance services for NIO's multi-brand vehicle portfolio. The collaboration will focus on policy issuance, risk control, and claims management for new energy vehicles.
NIO delivered 31,305 vehicles in August 2025, marking a 55.2% year-over-year increase and a new monthly record. The company's year-to-date deliveries reached 166,472 units, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 830,000 vehicles.
NIO's founder outlined production targets for upcoming months. The ONVO L90 model is expected to reach monthly production capacity of 15,000 units in October 2025. The ES8 model will ramp up to 15,000 units by December 2025. NIO has set a fourth-quarter monthly delivery target of 50,000 vehicles.
"As NIO's delivery volume continues to scale, we see a clear opportunity to support the growing demand for insurance solutions tailored to new energy vehicles," said Lei Zhang, founder, CEO, and chairman of Cheche Group.
Cheche Group operates as an auto insurance technology platform in China with approximately 101 branches licensed to distribute insurance policies across 25 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. The Beijing-based company was established in 2014.
