Catalyst Pharmaceuticals names Daniel Curran to board of directors

Catalyst Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: CPRX) appointed Daniel Curran, MD, to its board of directors, the company announced.



Dr. Curran serves as managing partner of Mountainfield Venture Partners since March 2024 and currently serves as chief executive officer of Timberlyne Therapeutics, a clinical-stage company developing therapies for autoimmune diseases.



From 2008 to 2023, Dr. Curran held positions at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, serving as senior vice president and head of the Rare Genetics and Hematology Therapeutic Area Unit from January 2019 through December 2023. Prior to Takeda, he served as vice president of corporate development at Millennium Pharmaceuticals from 1999 to 2008.



Dr. Curran currently serves on the board of directors of Xilio Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: XLO), a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing tumor-activated immuno-oncology therapies. He previously served on the board of Tome Biosciences.



Dr. Curran received an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in chemistry from King's College.
