Bruker acquires AST Revolution from Indaba Capital
Bruker Corporation (NASDAQ: BRKR, BRKRP) acquired AST Revolution from Indaba Capital Management, the companies announced. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
AST Revolution develops rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing solutions and was formed in August 2025 following Indaba's court-approved acquisition of select assets from Accelerate Diagnostics during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. The acquired assets included the WAVE and Arc testing systems and associated intellectual property.
The company focuses on in vitro diagnostics technology designed to provide rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing results. AST Revolution's WAVE and Arc systems are intended to help clinicians make treatment decisions more quickly.
"The sale of AST Revolution to Bruker is a strong outcome that represents the culmination of a collaborative effort with AST Revolution to revitalize a differentiated diagnostic platform," said Derek Schrier, founder of Indaba and chairman of AST Revolution's management committee.
Lawrence Mertz, AST Revolution's chief scientific officer, stated that the team's mission has been "to advance the WAVE and Arc systems to deliver rapid, actionable AST results that help clinicians make faster and better treatment decisions."
Indaba Capital Management, based in San Francisco, was founded in 2010 and invests in corporate equity and debt. Bruker provides scientific instruments and analytical solutions for life sciences and materials research.
The transaction information was disclosed in a press release statement from the companies.
