Bitcoin Depot appoints Scott Buchanan as president

Bitcoin Depot Inc. (NASDAQ: BTM) appointed Scott Buchanan as president effective August 28, 2025, according to a company statement. Buchanan will retain his roles as chief operating officer and board director.

Buchanan has served as Bitcoin Depot's chief operating officer and board director since March 2022. He previously held the position of acting chief financial officer and principal financial officer from November 2024 to March 2025, and served as chief financial officer from August 2020 to January 2023.

From June 2019 to August 2020, Buchanan worked as vice president of finance and human resources at Bitcoin Depot. Before joining the company, he held finance leadership positions at Acuity Brands (NYSE: AYI) starting in December 2015.
