BioStem Technologies names Brandon Poe as new CFO

BioStem Technologies Inc. (OTC: BSEM) announced the appointment of Brandon Poe as chief financial officer, effective immediately. Poe has served on the company's board of directors since 2022.



The Pompano Beach, Florida-based medical technology company develops placental-derived products for wound care applications. Michael Fortunato, the previous CFO, will transition to the role of chief accounting officer.



Poe brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences finance. He most recently served as CFO of Midi Health Inc., a digital women's healthcare company, and previously held the same position at Jumpcode Genomics Inc. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years at Illumina Inc. (NASDAQ: ILMN), where he held multiple senior finance roles, most recently as vice president of finance for product development, research and global operations.



The executive holds an undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.



"Brandon brings proven financial leadership across life sciences, medical devices, and healthcare services, with deep expertise in capital markets, strategic planning, and operational excellence," said Jason Matuszewski, chairman and CEO, in a statement.



BioStem Technologies manufactures wound care products using its proprietary BioREtain processing method for placental tissue preservation. The company's facilities are registered with the FDA and accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks.
