Baidu completes CNY4.4 billion senior notes offering

Baidu Inc. (NASDAQ: BIDU, HKEX: 9888) completed an offering of CNY4.4 billion in senior unsecured notes due 2029 with a 1.90% interest rate, the company announced September 15.



The notes were sold in offshore transactions outside the United States to non-U.S. persons under Regulation S of the Securities Act of 1933. The company plans to use proceeds for general corporate purposes, including repaying existing debt and paying interest.



The notes are expected to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 16, 2025. The securities were not registered under U.S. securities laws and cannot be offered or sold in the United States except under specific exemptions.



Baidu, founded in 2000, operates as an AI company with internet services and trades on Nasdaq and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. One American Depositary Share represents eight Class A ordinary shares.
