Auddia Inc. (NASDAQ: AUUD) reported that its Discovr Radio platform received 65 demo submissions during its debut at Toronto's Departure Festival + Conference on May 5. The company's "Press Play! Artist Demo Listening Session" drew standing-room attendance at the Creator's Summit presented by Amazon Music.

The interactive session connected emerging artists with industry executives for live track reviews and feedback using Discovr Radio's AI-driven music promotion platform. According to festival organizers, the session was among the most attended events at Departure House this year.

"Receiving more than 65 demo submissions—twice what we could address in the session—told us everything we needed to know about the appetite for this kind of format," said Theo Romeo, Chief Marketing Officer of Auddia.

The demo submission volume exceeded the session's capacity by roughly double, according to the company. Artists received real-time feedback from a panel of U.S. and Canadian music industry professionals during the event.

Auddia previously conducted a similar program at SXSW earlier this year. The company refined the format for Toronto with streamlined artist introductions and more efficient feedback structures.

Kevin Barton, Executive Producer of Departure Festival + Conference, confirmed the session's attendance levels and said the organizations are discussing expanded programming for the 2027 festival.

The company identified Toronto as a potential growth market for its AI-powered music platform based on the event response. Auddia is exploring additional partnership opportunities in the Toronto market following the festival debut.

Auddia operates an AI platform for audio identification and classification. The company is pursuing a merger with Thramann Holdings, which would result in a name change to McCarthy Finney upon completion.
