Appili Therapeutics shareholders elect six directors at annual meeting

Appili Therapeutics Inc. (TSX: APLI; OTCPink: APLIF) announced that shareholders approved all resolutions at its annual and special meeting held September 23, 2025. The biopharmaceutical company, which focuses on drug development for infectious diseases and biodefense, reported the election of six directors for the ensuing year.

Shareholders elected Don Cilla, Brian Bloom, Theresa Matkovits, Juergen Froehlich, Armand Balboni and Prakash Gowd as directors. The voting results showed strong support, with each director receiving between 99.39% and 99.84% of votes cast. Don Cilla and Armand Balboni each received 23,473,607 votes (99.39%), while Theresa Matkovits, Juergen Froehlich and Prakash Gowd each garnered 23,581,692 votes (99.84%). Brian Bloom received 23,479,607 votes (99.41%).

Beyond director elections, shareholders re-appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as the company's independent auditor and authorized directors to set their compensation. Shareholders also approved unallocated options under the company's rolling 10% stock option plan and unallocated awards under its equity incentive plan.

The Halifax, Nova Scotia-based company filed voting results for all resolutions on its SEDAR+ profile. Appili Therapeutics develops treatments for life-threatening infections, including an FDA-approved metronidazole suspension for antimicrobial resistant infections, a tularemia vaccine candidate, and a topical antiparasitic for cutaneous leishmaniasis treatment.
