Ameren promotes three executives in organizational restructuring

Ameren Corporation (NYSE: AEE) announced leadership changes effective January 1, 2026, promoting three executives to new positions within the utility company.



Michael Moehn, currently senior executive vice president and chief financial officer, will assume the newly created role of group president, Ameren Utilities. In this position, Moehn will oversee the company's operating utilities, with presidents of Ameren Missouri, Ameren Illinois, and Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois reporting to him.



Lenny Singh, currently chairman and president of Ameren Illinois, will become executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ameren Corporation and chairman and president of Ameren Services. Patrick Smith Sr., currently senior vice president of operations and technical services, will assume Singh's former role as chairman and president of Ameren Illinois.



Both Moehn and Singh will continue reporting to Martin J. Lyons Jr., chairman, president and chief executive officer of Ameren Corporation. Shawn Schukar will remain as chairman and president of Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois.



"This strategic rotation of responsibilities reflects Ameren's strong commitment to continuous improvement at all levels of our organization," Lyons said in the announcement.



Moehn joined Ameren in 2000 and has held various senior leadership roles across nuclear and customer operations, regulatory affairs, strategy, finance, and risk management. Singh spent over 30 years at Consolidated Edison Company of New York before joining Ameren in 2022. Smith has been with Ameren since 1985, starting as a meter reader.



The St. Louis-based company serves 2.5 million electric customers and more than 900,000 natural gas customers across a 64,000-square-mile area through its utility subsidiaries.
