Affirm (NASDAQ: AFRM) announced an expanded partnership with Wayfair Inc. (NYSE: W) that integrates Affirm's payment options directly at checkout across all Wayfair brands.
The integration covers Wayfair's entire family of brands, including Wayfair, Joss & Main, AllModern, Birch Lane, and Perigold, for both online and in-store purchases. The rollout coincides with Wayfair's Way Day sales event scheduled for October 26-29.
According to the companies, the partnership between Affirm and Wayfair began in 2017. The new checkout integration allows eligible shoppers to select Affirm as a payment option during online purchases or scan a QR code when shopping in stores.
Approved customers can access biweekly or monthly payment plans extending up to 36 months, with rates starting at 0% APR. Affirm states it does not charge late fees or hidden fees.
"At Wayfair, we're always looking for ways to make it easier for customers to create their dream spaces, which includes flexible and attractive payment options," said Curtis Crawford, head of fintech and loyalty at Wayfair.
The integration provides customers with payment plan options at the point of purchase rather than requiring separate application processes. Both companies emphasized the timing ahead of the holiday shopping season.
Pat Suh, SVP of Revenue at Affirm, stated that home furnishing represents a significant category for Affirm usage and that Wayfair has been an important partner in that segment.
The information is based on a press release statement from the companies.
