Jefferies analyst Jack Slevin lowered the price target on Phoenix Education Partners (NYSE: PXED) to $32.00 (from $38.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst comments ""Transition year" is generally not a welcome phrase for investors, but we believe a step-down in earnings power amid AI search headwinds was expected/baked in by many. FY27 EBITDA guidance of $225-$240MM contemplates consistent impact on AI search with PXED's F4Q experience, and EBITDA comps should improve throughout FY27 as $35MM of cost savings take hold. It may take a few quarters to play out, but we expect a rebound with shares too cheap at ~2x EBITDA."
