Oppenheimer analyst Lee Sulewski initiates coverage on PolyPid Ltd. (NASDAQ: PYPD) with a Outperform rating and a price target of $10.00.
The analyst comments "We initiate coverage of PolyPid at Outperform with a $10 PT. At an EV of ~$100M, investors get D-PLEX100, a locally applied, 30-day Doxycycline depot that cut surgical site infections by ~60% in the sub-group Ph3 study and is under FDA Priority Review with a November 28 PDUFA date. Partner Azurity will commercialize in the US and Canada with PYPD earning tiered mid-teen to mid-20s royalties plus a transfer price on every vial. We expect a measured hospital launch in early 2027, with potential NTAP reimbursement easing budget hurdles from 4Q27. Our base case includes only colorectal procedures with incisions >20cm, leaving broader labeling, Europe, and Kynatrix platform as upside. We see CMC and FDA inspection as the key remaining risk, with answers due within weeks."
