Jefferies analyst Laurence Alexander raised the price target on Nutrien (NYSE: NTR) to $71.00 (from $63.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
The analyst comments "Potash fundamentals remain favorable, supported by offshore demand and higher prices. Near-term nitrogen earnings face pressure from lower volumes and higher costs. Fertilizer prices likely remain elevated on higher input costs and supply constraints, and hinge on Middle East tensions. Nutrien’s Trinidad nitrogen closure likely improves FCF, while ongoing portfolio reviews likely support deleveraging, buybacks, and higher-return growth opportunities."
