Nomura Securities U.S. Conviction Buy List: Adding Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL)

Nomura analyst, Michael Lean, said, "We are adding ORCL to our U.S. Conviction Buy List, as a favorite large-cap enterprise software name. We believe Oracle (ORCL) is one of the best-positioned software vendors as it possesses the most extensive product offering in the IT industry. ORCL should benefit from its vertical integration strategy from hardware to applications, right through to the cloud. In our view, ORCL offers a compelling risk / reward, given its integrated stack offering, increasing customer traction of its Exa-products, margin expansion opportunities, and attractive valuation at ~12x forward earnings (in line with the applications peer group). Other stocks on our U.S. Conviction Buy List include Cablevision (NYSE: CVC), Dover (NYSE: DOV), Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), Limited (NYSE: LTD), Marriott (NYSE: MAR), Maxim (Nasdaq: MXIM), News Corp (Nasdaq: NWSA), PetSmart (Nasdaq: PETM), PNC (NYSE: PNC), and Viacom (NYSE: VIA-B)."
