Baird Upgrades Aptive PLC. (APTV) to Outperform

Baird analyst David Leiker upgraded Aptive PLC. (NYSE: APTV) from Neutral to Outperform with a price target of $82.00 (from $75.00).

The analyst comments: "Having leaned incrementally positive immediately post-announcement, we refined our SOT P analysis, revealing 15%+ new estimated value unlocked by the EDS spin. The spin also unlocks several facets of fundamental value: “New” Aptiv should be higher growth/more diversified, the margin setup is cleaner (recent improvement already realized), and recently subdued sentiment also bends risk/reward more favorably. Net, with investors already preliminarily seeking 2H25+ auto plays, we believe APTV should screen well, featuring both cyclical/fundamental catalysts, with the spin newly providing cover to be early."
